Westside Family Practice was founded in 1998 by Suzanne Lawton, ND. Dr. Lawton’s pioneering practice was one of the first on the west side to offer holistic, primary medical care for the whole family. Dr. Lawton was deeply loved by her patients and was known for her sharp intellect, her enormous devotion, and her respect for the individuals and families under her care.
In addition to her private practice, Suzanne also taught at the National College for Natural Medicine, oversaw a clinical rotation at the teaching clinic, and also authored a much respected book on Asperger’s Syndrome, Asperger Syndrome: Natural Steps Toward a Better Life (Praeger Publishers, 2007).
In the spring of 2009, when faced with a diagnosis of endometrial cancer and realizing the need for extra support, Suzanne asked Juniper Martin, ND to join the clinic. Sadly, Suzanne passed away in early 2010, and Juniper took over the clinic and caring for Suzanne’s patients. Suzanne’s spirit and passionate commitment to health and healing remains and serves as a foundation for Westside Family Practice.
